August 1, 2017: a new radio station hit the air in Humboldt County. 94.1 - The Lounge is based on the idea that there's a lot of really great music from the 1930s to the 1960s that just doesn't get played that much on radio. These songs are fantastic and they deserve to be heard! But 94.1 - The Lounge isn't an oldies station. There's a lot of music being made today that carries the classic lyricism and musicality into a contemporary context, and we expend a lot of effort here at 94.1 - The Lounge seeking out this music and putting it on the air for you to enjoy. We feature a cultivated mix of classic "American Songbook" standards as well as contemporary music that fits in with the classic vibe.
